On The Rocks

The adventurers made short work of the Bringers of Woe and the battle seemed one sided until a cultist took out a fist sized stone and rolled it across the ground.   It seemed to melt into the stone floor.  The fight continued, tremors could be felt and a huge creature made of rock and earth rose from the ground.  It pounded and pulverised the party.  Weapons seemed to bounce off it causing little damage with only Drowyn's magic greataxe causing significant damage.

Smiley and Adran fled in terror and were not seen again.  Sorin was the first to fall, with Kilnaar, Arnogal and Skonn also being knocked unconscious.  Little by little the party chipped away at the beast and eventually destroyed it.  Droywn and Kilnaar healed up the rest of the party the best they could.  Skonn bellowed at the injured to get better and believed his healing powers had worked again.

In the meele one of the cultists had fled.  Skonn searched the bodies finding some silver pieces, the beating heart of a small rodent and a tattered blacksmith cap.  Jarlier persuaded Skonn to give him most of the silver.

The party followed the remaining cultist, finding themselves in a chamber where a rock was floating 3ft above the floor. Sorin took the rock and the party moved on to the next chamber.  Here they could see two giant rats feasting on three human corpses.   Kilnaar attempted to sneak past the rats while still carrying the boy, Braelen.  He failed and the rats attacked with three more scurrying from hidden crevices.  The party dispatched them easily.  Kilnaar questioned the boy further before releasing him.  Drowyn investigated the corpses and found that the same symbol worn by the cultists had been carved into the corpses foreheads, right into their skulls.  The corpses were travellers whose injuries indicated murder.

The party moved on, finding themselves back at a set of doors just before the cage traps.  They returned to the scene of the battle with the Earth Elemental and continued east.  In a corridor leading to a stone door they found an old man on a stool, whittling away.  He seemed surprised to see the adventurers.  They interrogated him learning that the doors lead to the chamber of the moving stones and a priest called Larrakh was in there interpreting the movements of the stones.

Baphomet and Arnogall snuck into the chamber finding a lantern on the floor.  They could see a figure hiding ready to attack and gestured to the others to follow.  The rest of the party overtly entered the room and the Earth Priest began to cast a spell.
